The Rock Performs "You Look Horrible Tonight"

The Rock To Star As Hercules

The following article is from

Hercules, Starring Dwayne Johnson, to Arrive August 8, 2014

by Silas Lesnick
January 16, 2013

Following the official announcement late last year, MGM and Paramount Pictures have set an August 8, 2014 release date for Brett Ratner's Hercules, starring Dwayne Johnson.

The film will be based on the Radical Publishing "Hercules" comic books of which there were two series; "The Thracian Wars" and "The Knives of Kush," both written by Steve Moore with art by Cris Bolsin. "The Thracian Wars" is officially described as follows:

Fourteen-hundred years ago, a tormented soul walked the Earth that was neither man nor god. Hercules, powerful son of the god king Zeus, received nothing but suffering his entire life. After twelve arduous labors and the loss of his family, this dark, world-weary soul turned his back on the gods, finding his only solace in bloody battle. Over the years he warmed to the company of six similar souls, their only bond being their love of fighting and the presence of death. These men and woman never question where, why, or whom they go to fight; only how much they will be paid. Knowing this, the King of Thrace has hired these mercenaries to train his men to become the greatest army of all time. Hercules begins to question King Cotys' motives when he takes his army out to battle and sees them practice on innocent men, women, and children of their neighbors. Deep in his soul something stirs, but is it enough to stop a mad king and his army of the damned from marching across Greece - or even Olympus itself?!

The screenplay for the film version was written by Ryan Condol. MGM's Roger Birnbaum, Gary Barber and Jonathan Glickman will produce with Peter Berg and his Film 44 partner Sarah Aubrey, as well as Barry Levine of Radical Pictures, whose Jesse Berger will executive produce.

Johnson can soon be seen in theaters in Jon Chu's G.I. Joe: Retaliation and Michael Bay's Pain & Gain.

Superstar Billy Graham Writes Letter To Chris Jericho

The following was posted online by Superstar Billy Graham:

"Mr. Jericho Sir,

I won’t say Dear Chris because I know you hate me with the utter most hatred.

Addressing your quote about me, "And stop being such a mark” The truth is, I believe everyone is a mark for someone or something at some point in their life. For instance, I am a total mark for Bob Dylan. The man has written over 600 songs and I saw him in person here in Phoenix last year. He had never sounded better at the age of 70! Fans are marks for the upcoming Super Bowl, The World Series, The NBA championship playoffs, and Nascar to name just a few examples.

In pro wrestling I am a mark for Triple H and proud to admit it for numerous reasons. He had a great hard earned physique, he had enormous charisma and an in ring presence that was unmatched. I remember sitting on the front row at a PPV here in Phoenix and his opponent gave him a sling shot into the post. I had my eyes fixed on him because I was curious about how he was going to do the blade job. As soon as his head hit the post he started bleeding, I did not see him cut himself and he was right in front of me, just a few feet away! Back in the locker room we were sitting next to each other and I asked him, "Brother, how did you cut your head, as you started bleeding immediately?" He said, " Superstar, I cut my head right before it hit the post." I marked out at that very moment, what a pro that man was and still could be if he wanted to be.

In closing I hope that answers your statement to me regarding “being such a mark.” And your quote to me about "Shutting the hell up” I won’t even address that because what I do best is CUT PROMOS!!!

Superstar Billy Graham"

Tyson Kidd Discusses CM Punk's Comments

The following is from

Kidd responds to Punk’s 'pipe bomb' shoutout

Last Monday, Tyson Kidd received news that no Superstar wants to hear: Due to a knee injury sustained at a WWE Live Event in late December, he would be forced to take an extended hiatus from in-ring competition. The only opponents he’d face for six to eight months would be ligament and meniscus tears in his right knee and a fracture in his tibia plateau. His only tag team partner? Physical therapy.

But not even a demoralizing prognosis could keep Kidd from attending the first Raw of 2013, emanating live from the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa, Fla., mere minutes from where the Canadian ring warrior now resides. After CM Punk defended the WWE Championship against Ryback in a hellacious Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match earlier that evening, The Straight Edge Superstar revealed he would drop a massive verbal “pipe bomb” that promised to set the tone for the year to come. Looking on as a fan, Kidd eagerly anticipated Punk’s latest proclamation and the WWE Champion’s likely confrontation with his Royal Rumble opponent, The Rock.

Finding a secluded spot near the entrance ramp, a hoodie drawn over his close-cropped hair and a metal brace fortifying his knee, Kidd listened intently as Punk not only laid into the WWE Universe — as he is known to do on a weekly basis these days — but also WWE officials and management, the main targets of his original pipe bomb on Raw back in June 2011.

“The more popular you are, the more money you make,” Punk spat, as his associate Paul Heyman grinned approvingly at his side. “The more you people cheer for any given Superstar, the more opportunities [they’re] afforded. Why do you think a guy like John Cena, who has admittedly had the worst year of his career, gets title shot after title shot after title shot? Or why a lethal grappler, why a serious submission specialist like Daniel Bryan, puts a smile on his face and saddles himself, belittles himself, with catchphrases? Or why a 400-pound monster like Brodus Clay soils his hands by touching your filthy, ugly little children to get in the ring so he can shuck and jive for ya? Or why an invisible child, ‘Little Jimmy’ is better positioned on the flagship show, Monday Night Raw, than a workhorse like Tyson Kidd?”

As the crowd erupted following the mere mention of the name “Tyson Kidd” — accompanied by a simultaneous firestorm of conversation on Twitter — one thing was abundantly clear to the former WWE Tag Team Champion: Punk has a point.

“My initial reaction was that: A.) These people understand and care, too, and B.) Punk is 100 percent right,” Kidd told, speaking out for the first time since CM Punk’s pipe bomb. “I respect CM Punk to the highest degree. If he comes out in his gear, I’m excited. If he comes out with a microphone, I’m equally excited. Love him or hate him, he’s good at what he does.”

Kidd, too, is good at what he does, and Punk’s argument about professional recognition couldn’t help but resonate with the mat technician, who is ironically less visible to most Raw viewers than R-Truth’s invisible friend.

“I’ve always considered myself a workhorse, and I’ve definitely used that word to describe myself over the last two years,” Kidd said, reflecting on Punk’s carefully chosen terminology. “I go out there and give it my all every single match — and I’ve been doing that for 17 years. Whether in WWE or Japan or Europe or back home in (Calgary, Alberta’s) Stampede Wrestling, it’s always been the same story. In a worst-case scenario, I will outwrestle everybody on this show. Anyone that’s gonna outwrestle me had better perform after me, because I’m going to outperform everybody that I saw before me.”

MAJOR NEWS: Superstar Injured For 6-8 Months

Tyson Kidd has torn his MCL. The doctors predict he will be out 6 to 8 months after surgery and recovery. This comes at a very bad time as he was scheduled for a major push after CM Punk mentioned him in his promo.

WWE Announces First 2013 Hall Of Fame Inductee

The following was published in the NY Post:

Mick Foley to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame

Mick Foley will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this April, The Post has learned.

According to sources, Foley, a three-time WWE Champion, will be honored at the company’s annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony which is held the night before Wrestlemania.

This year’s ceremony will be held at Madison Square Garden on Saturday April 6 with Wrestlemania 29 taking place at MetLife Stadium the following evening.

The Long Island resident debuted in 1986 and while not having the typical wrestler physique that other superstars of his era had, was a crowd favorite. Foley often switched between his three wrestling personas, Cactus Jack, Dude Love and Mankind during his career and is most famous for his no-holds-barred mentality in and out of the ring.

Some of his most memorable moments came during the WWE’s “Attitude Era” where he won the WWE Championship three times, the Hardcore Championship once and the Tag Team title eight times. Foley’s partnership with The Rock produced three of those tag team titles and the duo became a hit among fans by creating the “Rock and Sock Connection.”

Foley’s most memorable moment came at the King of the Ring in 1998 when he wrestled The Undertaker in a Hell in a Cell match. During the bout Foley was tossed from the top of the cage and crashed through the Spanish announce table in one of the most-jarring moments of any match. Foley has admitted that he was knocked unconscious during the match where he was also chokeslammed through the cage.

Foley lost the match but it is regarded as one of his best and was named the Match of the Year for 1998 by Pro Wrestling Illustrated.

The WWE will announce the rest of the Hall of Fame inductees leading up to the ceremony. Tickets for the Hall of Fame Induction at MSG go on sale Saturday Jan. 12.

Chris Jericho Has Message For Billy Graham

Superstar Billy Graham Bashes CM Punk

WWE Hall of Famer Superstar Billy Graham posted the following on his Facebook:

I watch the last hour of WWE Raw last night. It was the worst excuse for a show I have ever seen! My agent Scott is tight with legendary World Champion Bruno Sammartino. Scott has told me that WWE has been calling Brunno regularly begging him to go into the Hall of Fame. Bruno has been polite but has always said no thank you.

Tonight on RAW for the last 45 minutes of the show all they did was have CM PUNK talk, talk and more talk! The killer line came when Vince had Punk putting over his 314 straight days as world champ and then said and I quote, ” you had people like Burno Sammartino , only wrestled in Madison Square Garden only wrestled one a month.”

This was by far the biggest put down of Bruno ever. Why would WWE have Punk say that about someone they have been begging to go into the Hall of Fame for untold years? When that teenager looking CM Punk made that statement he was also talking about me, Ivan Koloff , Stan Hanson etc. Find the re run and listen closely and answer me this my Facebook friends – How can they justify putting down a real icon like this, and not get called out on it?

Any news sites can quote me on my statement below:

CM Punk, I have lost all respect for you for nor saying no to the writers of the WWE for saying Bruno Sammartino only wrestled once a month in Madison Square Garden. You talk about one of the greatest icons ever in pro wrestling like he was a JOBBER??? You should be ashamed of yourself for not having the self-dignity to say NO to the writers on that line. That line you delivered indicates that I am a big loser like Bruno as well and insults me as I wrestled in the same era as Bruno. This only confirms more that I want my name out of the WWE Hall of Fame.

How many monthly sell outs have you yourself drawn at Madison Square Garden? Not a PPV or the Raw TV show. Quit talking trash about Bruno. It’s an insult to him and all the wrestlers of his era including myself!
